1811 Mission Bell

MASSIVE vintage bell in an antique Spanish Colonial style. Handcrafted of thick brass or bronze, it has an ornate floral design in relief covering all sides. French style cartouche. Olive wreath Mexican coat of arms(?) symbol. Christ image. Raised text: “D.E.L.P., 1811, Mejico”. Very loud and clear, high pitched ring! Clapper has a loop for attaching a pull cord.

11” tall, 11 3/4” diameter. 23 1/2 lbs. Excellent condition. Aged patina.
